Scantuit
Scantuit Data Capture Software is an easy-to-use data capture solution for
converting paper documents into digital documents.
Scantuit natively supports over 400 scanners, which use Twain, ISIS, Kofax ImageControls,
or VisionShape drivers. In addition, Scantuit features a file importer mode which
can function either manually or automatically to support multi-function devices
and electronic documents.
Scantuit is unique in the data capture industry because it has a simple user interface
to access all of its functions. This includes the power to drive a scanner, capture
images and text data information, use image processing and clean-up functions,
apply bates stamping, access external database information and integrate with a
document imaging solutions.

Available Scantuit Modules Include:
Image Processing
Image Processing enhances your images to improve Barcode Recognition, Zone OCR and
overall readability. Functions can be selected from a selection menu and include
de-skew, de-speckle, image registration, black border removal, white area
clipping, character enhancement, and blank page removal.
Barcode and 2D Barcode
This feature allows users to set up zones in which barcodes will be read. Information
can be used to populate document names or other template fields. This feature also
makes it possible to use processes such as batch scanning.
Jobcard Processing
Jobcard Option allows you to automatically create new documents, and saves you unnecessary
keystrokes. By using the batch codes provided with the software, you can place a
slip-sheet with the appropriate batch codes to automatically separate and build
new documents.
Bates Stamping
This feature Bates Stamps or endorses the TIFF image as the page is scanned. The
Bates Stamp is an Alpha Numeric text string that you can configure, such as page
number, date, etc. The system can also auto increment the bates text string.
Zone OCR
This option will allow you to create up to 7 zones on a scanned page. The data in
each zone is used to automatically populate a selected Laserfiche® template field(s).
The system can be customized to have more than 7 zones.
ACCéNT
ACCéNT is part of Datanet Solutions' timesheet processing suite. With its
ability to hold rules and constraints that restrict or allow a timesheet to be paid,
ACCéNT is the gatekeeper that speeds up your verification process. The abilities
of ACCéNT are only limited by the client's set of mathematical and logical
rules. This product allows every client to shave enormous amounts of time off of
their existing timesheet processing system.
Printuit
As a solutions company, Datanet is committed to simplifying common processes, freeing
up more time for you to focus on what's important. With that line of thinking,
we created Printuit. Instead of printing a spreadsheet, or a web site, then scanning
those printouts into Laserfiche®, Printuit lets
you take any printable document and import it directly into Laserfiche®,
without the need to print or scan. With Printuit, any electronic document or web
page you'd like to make available for all, can be printed, straight into Laserfiche.
Faxtuit
Faxtuit is a solution that captures faxes and sends them directly into your Laserfiche® repository. Faxtuit will capture the date and
time that the fax was sent, as well as the Caller ID of the sender. Faxtuit will
then route the fax to a location in your Laserfiche®
Repository based on the variables derived from the sender and your configuration.
UtilitEase
UtilitEase features four unique best practice tools for creating a litany of jobs
that drastically improve the ongoing functionality and maintenance of your Laserfiche® repository. All jobs are created through a Master
Configuration Interface that administrators can use to cultivate tasks easily, thoroughly
and quickly. Jobs are configured to execute based on triggers and at times best
suited for the ongoing task.
DataRouter
A tool that optimizes the organizational structure of a Laserfiche®
repository by automatically transferring documents between folders and volumes.
It facilitates the elimination of poor quality images and unusable metadata in Laserfiche®. DataRouter's flexibility allows companies
to conform jobs to their business processes, minimizing the efforts of end-users
and administrators. It functions according to criteria specified by comparing a
document or template property against a user-defined value (i.e. a time or volume
ceiling). DataRouter runs on a user-defined processing schedule and stores job
information in encrypted XML files.
DataLink
Link or validate Laserfiche® with external databases.
The user maps Laserfiche® documents with outside
databases in order to import associated metadata or validate Laserfiche®
metadata with data from a database. This is achieved by identifying a key variable
that exists in both a Laserfiche® document and
the outside database. A wizard helps the user to easily designate an appropriate
key variable and design jobs that achieve the desired end.
DataOCR
Offers its users greatly improved text search capabilities in their Laserfiche® repositories. Users can search for documents
to be OCRed by volume, template, folder or modification date. By classifying with
a wizard which documents need OCRing and determining what times are best suited
for job execution, the DataOCR user can quickly construct a rubric for creating
text searchable documents automatically. The wizard allows documents to be searched
by volume, template, folder and modification date. The user can select any combination
of the given options. Repository-wide text search capability is a desirable
and sometimes mandatory feature for Laserfiche®
users. DataOCR can achieve this condition in the most thorough and painless way.
DataOCR also generates a printable audit trail automatically.
DataArchive
An easy to use tool for preparing and placing repository volumes in their final
disposition. Using a wizard, the user selects which volumes they wish to archive.
The user also assigns a start and stop time for each job, preventing DataArchive
from interrupting normal Laserfiche® use. DataArchive
is the companion of DataRouter. It is distinct in that it only deals with volumes
ready to be permanently archived.
